This editorial policy is the rulebook behind every page on LigtasLoan. It covers our sources, our SEC registry checks, the phrases we refuse to publish, and how we fix mistakes. We are a comparison site, not a lender. The standard is public so you can hold us to it.
Every fact on this site traces to a source, and the sources have a pecking order.
A status without a date is an opinion. Every app is checked by hand against the SEC registry before it appears in any table, and every check carries the date it was performed. We re-check after every SEC advisory and review the full list monthly. That is why every list page shows a "Last checked against the SEC registry" line with a date.
Why hand-check at all? Because registration is the lending market's only real gate. A lending company needs a Certificate of Authority to operate legally. An app without one has no business holding your ID and your contact list. Friends got burned by illegal loan apps. That is where my registry habit came from.
No loan app can promise approval. So we never write as if one can. That includes "guaranteed approval", "100% approval", and any variation built to mean the same thing. The swap looks like this.
Approval is never ours to promise. It depends on your income, your documents, and the lender's own criteria. We control none of that. The most we can honestly say is what tends to happen, and we say it with sources.
Rates, fees, and limits change. We capture them from the lender's app or official site on publication day, and update the page when they change. Our effective APR figures carry the label "our estimate" because lenders publish only the nominal rate. One loan, one formula. We compute the estimate on a standard loan of ₱5,000 over 30 days, adding every fee a borrower actually pays. The full method sits on the methodology page.
We do not write reviews under invented customer names or draw star ratings out of thin air. Where borrower experience shapes a score, we aggregate complaints and reviews from public sources and describe the pattern. Aggregated reports have a blind spot: satisfied borrowers rarely post. We say so where it matters.
When we get something wrong, we fix it visibly. The corrected passage keeps the date of the fix and the label "Corrected". No quiet rewrites. We would rather be corrected than wrong in silence. If you spot an error in a figure, status, or date, send it through the contact page. Corrections take priority over new articles.
Paid or sponsored material carries a clear label and never masquerades as editorial work. Ratings and reviews are not for sale. The commercial mechanics are spelled out in our affiliate disclosure.
No. Reviews follow the methodology, and no fee changes a score, a status, or a sentence.
Every status is dated. Lists are reviewed monthly, and we re-check after every SEC advisory.
These rules exist so you can use our pages without reading our minds. Check the date on any number. Check the registry line on any app. If a page ever breaks its own standard, write to us and we will correct it in the open.
