List of SEC Registered Lending Apps in the Philippines

SEC-Registered Lending Apps
Contents

SEC registered lending apps are loan apps operated by companies that hold a Certificate of Authority (CA) issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines. Only such companies may legally lend online in the country. As of 28 August 2026, the official record stands at 117 registered online lending companies running about 178 platforms, per the SEC snapshot dated 26 January 2026. The table below profiles the thirteen brands Filipinos search for most, each verified one by one, and flags the ones that lost their license.

Checked against the SEC registry: 28 August 2026. Every status carries a source, and secondary CA numbers are labeled.

Why SEC Registration Is the Only Check That Matters Before You Borrow From an App

Registration is the license. An online lender in the Philippines must be a SEC-registered corporation with authority to lend, and its platforms must be recorded as online lending platforms under Memorandum Circular 19, series of 2019. Operators caught in unregistered lending face cease-and-desist orders; the SEC issued seven of them on 15 August 2025 (newsbytes.ph, 27 August 2025).

The market also just reopened after a five-year freeze. The SEC imposed a moratorium on new online lending platforms in November 2021 through MC No. 10, series of 2021. MC No. 20, series of 2026 lifted it, signed 7 July 2026 and effective 1 August 2026 (FintechNews PH, 17 July 2026). New entrants can apply again; only registered ones may operate.

In practice, registration gives you three things:

None of this makes a registered app cheap. It makes it accountable. An unregistered lender can vanish with your data overnight, and no CA number means no door to knock on.

The List: SEC Registered Lending Companies and Their Apps (August 2026)

Thirteen brands make up the list below. Each row names the legal entity first: the corporate name is what you verify in the registry, not the app store name.

Company (legal entity) App / brand Type CA number (source) Status as of 28 August 2026
Tala Financing Philippines Inc. Tala Financing company CA 1132 (SEC registry) Active; on the OLP list; June 2026 SEC warning about fake Tala clones
Moneycat Financing Inc. (formerly Moneycat Financial Consultants Inc.) MoneyCat Financing company CA 1254 (SEC registry) Active; platforms Moneycat.ph and One click money.ph recorded
Paloo Financing Inc. (DBA Cashalo), reg. no. CS201800209 Cashalo Financing company CA 1162 (SEC registry) Active; on the OLP list
Neuroncredit Financing Company Inc. (DBA Atome PH) Atome Financing company CA 1178 (SEC registry) Active; on the OLP list; fake clone "Atome Loan" flagged March 2026
Sofi Financing Inc. (OLP list says Sofi Lending Inc., likely its former name), reg. no. CS201908275 Finbro Financing company CA 1324 per finbro.ph footer; one aggregator cites 2990, see note Active; finbro.ph on the OLP list
Kviku Lending Co. Inc., reg. no. CS201918702 Kviku Lending company CA 3169 (per legitloanappreview.com) Active; kviku.ph on the OLP list
First Digital Finance Corporation, reg. no. CS201516347 BillEase Financing company CA 1101 (per legitloanappreview.com) Active; platforms Balikbayad, Billease, FDFC, Loan Ranger recorded
Warm Cash Lending Corp., reg. no. 2021030009095-02 HoneyLoan Lending company CA 3427 (per legitloanappreview.com) Active; "Honey Loan" on the OLP list
Plentina Lending Inc., reg. no. CS20200001117 Plentina Lending company CA 3266 (per legitloanappreview.com) Active; on the OLP list
Fuse Financing Inc. (formerly Fuse Lending Inc., license renewed 30 January 2025); GCash is operated by Mynt, a Globe company GCash GLoan Financing company CA number not published Active; "Fuse" on the OLP list; SEC issued a CDO against a fake "Fuse Lending, Inc." on 31 July 2025

Source labels in that table:

Two rows deserve footnotes. Finbro's own footer shows CA 1324, while one aggregator cites 2990. We publish 1324: a company's own disclosure is the closer source, but treat the number as unconfirmed until the SEC settles it. GCash GLoan carries no published CA number at all. In both cases the registration is real, and the gaps are in the public record, not in the license.

A note on Maya Credit

Maya Credit is not a SEC-registered lending app, and that is fine. It is a product of Maya Bank Inc., a digital bank regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) rather than the SEC (maya.ph, 28 August 2026), so its absence from the SEC's online lending list is expected.

The official count: 117 companies, about 178 platforms

Under MC 19, series of 2019, the SEC records online lending platforms. Its latest public release shows 117 companies operating about 178 platforms as of 26 January 2026 (newspress.ph, 6 February 2026, republishing the SEC release). Our site publishes that full snapshot and refreshes it with every new release.

Two manual sources are worth bookmarking:

  1. The SEC list of recorded online lending platforms, the primary record under MC 19.
  2. The Check with SEC verification tool. Automated access is blocked; search the corporate name by hand.

New Since the Moratorium Lifted in August 2026

The freeze is over. MC No. 20, series of 2026 ended the moratorium on 1 August 2026, so new online lending platforms can apply again under fresh entry conditions (FintechNews PH, 17 July 2026).

What we can confirm as of this check:

Expect this section to change monthly: new names entering the OLP record, and fresh advisories against operators that skip registration. Both land in the SEC advisory tracker first. I re-check within a day of each release.

Apps People Ask About Most

Quick answers for the brands readers ask me about most. Longer breakdowns live in our app reviews.

Is Tala SEC registered?

Yes: Tala runs through Tala Financing Philippines Inc., CA 1132 per the SEC registry, active and on the OLP list. One warning: in June 2026 the SEC flagged fake apps cloning the Tala name, including "Tala-Cash Loan Philippines" and "Tala Shuk Lending Inc." (inquirer.net, 13 June 2026).

Is MoneyCat SEC registered?

Yes: Moneycat Financing Inc. holds CA 1254 per the SEC registry. Both of its recorded platforms, Moneycat.ph and One click money.ph, appear on the 26 January 2026 OLP list.

Is Cashalo SEC registered?

Yes: the corporate name behind Cashalo is Paloo Financing Inc. (registration CS201800209), holding CA 1162 per the SEC registry and recorded on the OLP list. A classic brand-versus-company case: search "Cashalo" in a registry and you find nothing, because the registry only knows Paloo.

Is Atome SEC registered?

Yes: Atome PH operates under Neuroncredit Financing Company Inc., CA 1178 per the SEC registry, active and recorded. In March 2026 a fake clone called "Atome Loan" surfaced in the App Store and made the SEC's advisory list (loanappreviewphilippines.com, 12 June 2026). The real app is simply "Atome".

Is JuanHand SEC registered?

Yes: JuanHand is operated by Wefund Lending Corp., a lending company on the OLP list with platforms Juanhand, Junahand, and Kidlat Peso. Its CA number, 2844, comes from secondary data (legitloanappreview.com, as of March 2026); confirm it with the SEC before trusting it.

Is Mabilis Cash SEC registered?

Yes: Mabilis Cash runs through Mabilis Cash Financing Corp., formerly Mali Lending Corp., which converted from a lending to a financing company. Its financing CA is 1327 per the SEC registry. In June 2026 the SEC warned about fake clones using the Mabilis Cash name (inquirer.net, 13 June 2026).

Is Finbro SEC registered?

Yes, with a number to double-check. Finbro runs through Sofi Financing Inc. (registration CS201908275), and finbro.ph is on the OLP list. The CA number conflicts across sources: the company's own footer says 1324, one aggregator says 2990. We publish 1324 with that caveat attached.

Is BillEase SEC registered?

Yes: BillEase belongs to First Digital Finance Corporation (registration CS201516347), a financing company recorded with platforms Balikbayad, Billease, FDFC, and Loan Ranger. The CA number 1101 is secondary data with the same verify-before-you-trust label.

Is GCash GLoan SEC registered?

Yes, through Fuse Financing Inc., a financing company on the OLP list. Its license was renewed on 30 January 2025 (gcash.com terms, 28 August 2026), and no CA number is published for it. Watch for impersonators: on 31 July 2025 the SEC shut down a fake "Fuse Lending, Inc." with a cease-and-desist order, after Mynt complained (rappler.com, August 2025).

Is Maya Credit SEC registered?

No, and it does not need to be. Maya Credit comes from Maya Bank Inc., a digital bank under BSP supervision rather than SEC licensing (maya.ph, 28 August 2026), so its absence from the SEC lending list is expected.

Is Digido SEC registered?

No more. The SEC revoked the licenses of Digido Finance Corp., the operator behind Digido, UnaPay, and UnaCash, in mid-2025 for running four branches without authority. When lending continued, the SEC followed with a final cease-and-desist order in March 2026 and a ₱600,000 fine (fintechphil.com, 18 November 2025; respicio.ph, 31 March 2026). One catch: the SEC's financing company page still displays Digido with CA 1272. That page is stale. Treat the revocation, not the old record, as the truth. Full timeline: what happened to Digido.

Common misconceptions

PeraHub is a lender. It is not: PeraHub is the remittance and payment network of PETNET; it hosts loan application points for other products, such as AFP salary loans, but does not lend money itself (petnet.com.ph, 28 August 2026). A claimed link to UnionBank is unconfirmed, so do not borrow on that brand name.

An app with a famous name is the real one. Fake clones say otherwise. In March 2026 alone the SEC's advisory listed App Store fakes including Atome Loan, Tala Peso, Tala CashPro, TalaCash, MabilisCash, Mabilis Credit, and Pesolending (loanappreviewphilippines.com, 12 June 2026). Match the developer name to the corporate name in our table, not just the app title.

Registration means the SEC recommends the app. It does not. A CA is a permission slip, not an endorsement. The SEC registers, records, and punishes. It does not rate price or service.

How to Check a Lending App Yourself: Four Steps

You can reproduce every check on this page in a few minutes. The sequence matters: company name first, number second.

  1. Find the corporate name inside the app. Open the About section, the Terms of Service, or the website footer. That legal name is your search key.
  2. Search the SEC records. Financing companies appear in the registry of financing companies: name, registration number, CA number, date. Lending companies lack an open list, so use Check with SEC or call hotline 1-4SEC.
  3. Cross-check the platform record. The app itself must appear on the list of recorded online lending platforms under MC 19, series of 2019. A licensed company with an unrecorded app is a red flag.
  4. If nothing comes back, stop. Do not install, do not register, do not send an ID. Check our list of illegal loan apps. Then report the app to the SEC.
Where to check What it shows Fields to look at

Check with SEC tool (checkwithsec.sec.gov.ph) SEC verification service Manual corporate name search; automated access blocked

The trap that catches most people: the brand is not the company. Cashalo is Paloo Financing Inc. Tala is Tala Financing Philippines Inc. Atome is Neuroncredit Financing Company Inc. Search the brand and you find nothing; search the corporate name and the record appears. I have watched friends skip this step and pay for it. If an app hides its corporate name entirely, that silence is your answer. See how to check if a loan app is legit for the full walkthrough with red flags and screenshots.

What SEC Registration Does NOT Guarantee: The Honest Part

Registration alone guarantees nothing about price, approval, or conduct. A registry check protects you from fraud, not from a bad deal.

So verify first, then price the loan. Run the offer through our loan calculator for the total repayment and effective annual rate, then compare registered options in our best loan apps ranking.

Not on the List? Banned and Delisted Apps

If an app is absent from the table above and from the official OLP record, treat it as unregistered until proven otherwise. The SEC has been busy drawing that line.

Two running lists track this. Illegal loan apps covers the banned and the unregistered, and delisted lending companies covers firms that lost a license. New warnings land in the SEC advisory tracker.

Frequently asked questions

What does "SEC registered" mean for a loan app?

It means the company behind the app holds a Certificate of Authority from the SEC and its platforms are recorded as online lending platforms under MC 19, series of 2019. Only such companies may legally lend online in the Philippines. As of 26 January 2026, the official record held 117 registered companies and about 178 platforms.

Are all loan apps required to register with the SEC?

Yes, if they lend online as lending or financing companies. Operating without registration is grounds for cease-and-desist orders; the SEC demonstrated that against seven apps in August 2025.

Where do I find a lending company's CA number?

Financing company CA numbers appear in the SEC registry of financing companies, under the legal name. Lending company numbers are not published in an open list, so confirm them through Check with SEC or hotline 1-4SEC. Footer-only numbers stay secondary until the SEC confirms them.

Is Tala SEC registered?

Yes. Tala operates through Tala Financing Philippines Inc., CA 1132 per the SEC registry, active on the OLP list. Watch for fake clones using the Tala name; the SEC warned about them in June 2026.

How often is this list updated?

We re-check the registry monthly and immediately after every SEC advisory. The page carries the last check date, currently 28 August 2026, and every change gets a dated entry.

The Bottom Line for Borrowers

Check the registry before the application. Every time. That one habit separates a bad day from a dangerous one.

The rule that covers all four cases: a SEC registration is necessary, never sufficient. Verify first, price second, apply last. Legit ba? Check the registry first.
