BillEase Interest Rate: What You Actually Pay Per Month
Contents
BillEase's interest rate is the most straightforward in our tables, and the lender says so itself: "the lowest interest rate at only 3.49% monthly." The claim checks out on both ends. The App Store publishes the same band more fully, 0% to 3.49% per month with a maximum APR of 36%, and the 0% end is real at select partner merchants. This page verifies the published band, takes the lender's own ₱12,000 example apart line by line, and prices the benchmark month. Checked September 16, 2026.
The published band, side by side
| Source | Monthly rate | Annual figure | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| billease.ph | 3.49% ("lowest") | not stated | 0% APR promo at select merchants |
| App Store listing | 0% to 3.49% | APR 0% to 36% | service charges 0% to 10% |
Two details separate the versions. The site quotes only the top of the band; the store reveals the 0% floor. The store also adds the service-charge line, up to 10%. The site's headline omits it. The full contract context is in the BillEase review.
The ₱12,000 example, line by line
The App Store works one example, and it survives arithmetic scrutiny.
| Component | Value |
|---|---|
| Amount disbursed | ₱12,000 (no upfront deductions) |
| Term | 3 months |
| Monthly payment | ₱4,539 |
| Of which principal | ₱4,000 |
| Of which interest | ₱419 |
| Of which service charge | ₱120 |
The interest line proves the rate: ₱419 on ₱12,000 is 3.49% a month, exactly as advertised. But the service charge rides on top, and it is the quiet number. Over three months it adds ₱360 here, a modest sum. At the published 10% maximum? ₱1,200 on this same loan. The effective monthly cost would climb well past 3.49%. One more published wrinkle: the processing fee is "incorporated into the loan amount", so read the principal in your contract, not the sticker price of your purchase.
The benchmark and the ceiling
Our standard month, ₱5,000 for 30 days, costs ₱174.50 in interest at 3.49% a month, about 42% a year on simple math (our estimate). With a 10% service charge it becomes ₱675, pushing the effective yearly cost past 160%. The spread between those two figures is BillEase's whole pricing story: the rate is honest, the add-ons are the variable.
The genuine zero is real, though. At select merchant partners, a 0% APR promo applies during the promotional schedule. Paid exactly on time, that purchase costs nothing extra; the same basket financed elsewhere would. This is the cheapest registered credit in our tables when it works, and it works only at partners, on schedule.
What is not published
Three blanks remain. The default service-charge percentage: the band says 0% to 10%, neither channel names the norm. The late-payment price: billease.ph promises a "discounted charge" if you are warned before the deadline. No figures anywhere. And the processing fee's exact size, which is folded into the loan amount rather than shown as a line you can refuse.
How to read your offer
First, find the merchant. If your purchase sits in the 0% APR promo list, take it and set repayment reminders; that is the best registered deal in the market. Second, read the service charge on your specific offer, not the band. Ask what the percentage is before confirming. Third, compare the total against cash-loan peers with flat ceilings: VPlus states 18% a year and Moca Moca caps interest at 20% plus a disclosed 5-10% fee. The loan calculator and methodology page convert anything into yearly terms.
Frequently asked questions
What is BillEase's interest rate per month?
3.49% per month at the top of the published band, 0% at select merchant promos. The App Store states the full range, 0% to 3.49% monthly with a 0-36% APR, and the ₱12,000 example confirms the 3.49% figure line by line.
Is BillEase really 0% at merchants?
At select partners, yes, on the promotional schedule. Paid on time, those purchases carry no interest. The 0% applies to the rate, not to optional service charges, so read the fee line even on a 0% plan.
What is BillEase's maximum APR?
36% a year, per the App Store listing, equivalent to the 3.49% monthly top rate. The service charge of up to 10% sits outside that APR framing.
What is the BillEase service charge?
A fee of 0% to 10%, published as a range only. The lender's own example shows ₱120 on a ₱12,000 three-month loan, about 1%. Ask for your exact percentage before confirming; at the top of the range it costs more than the interest.
The bottom line for borrowers
BillEase publishes the most honest rate card in our tables: a real 3.49% monthly top, a real 0% floor at partner merchants, and an example that survives recomputation. The unpublishables are the service-charge norm and the late fee; price those before you sign. The lender's registry status is in our BillEase review, with the license check at is BillEase SEC registered.
