HoneyLoan Interest Rate: What You Actually Pay Per Month
Contents
HoneyLoan's interest rate depends on which HoneyLoan channel you believe. The website advertises a daily rate of 0.4% with a maximum APR of 144%. The App Store listing advertises a fixed daily rate of 0.096% with a maximum APR of 35% to 36%. Same lender, same brand, prices roughly four times apart. This page puts both official quotes side by side, runs the monthly math on each, and tells you which number actually governs your loan. Checked September 16, 2026.
Two published prices, side by side
| Source | Daily rate | Published ceiling | Its own example |
|---|---|---|---|
| honeyloan.ph (website) | "Daily interest rate: 0.4%" | "Maximum APR: 144%" | ₱3,000 for 180 days: interest and fees ₱2,160, repay ₱5,160, ₱860 per month |
| App Store listing | "Daily interest rate (fixed): 0.096%" | "APR – Maximum 36%" | ₱3,000 for 6 months: amount to be returned ₱3,487, fees ₱0 |
Both quotes come from the lender's own channels, captured on the same day. The full contract terms sit in the HoneyLoan loan app review, along with the CA-number check.
The same loan, priced twice
Our standard benchmark across the site: borrow ₱5,000 for 30 days, then read the yearly cost. We ran it twice, once per official price.
| Scenario | 30-day cost on ₱5,000 | You repay | Yearly rate (our estimate) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website version, 0.4% per day | ₱600 | ₱5,600 | about 146% |
| App Store version, 0.096% per day | ₱48 | ₱5,048 | about 35% |
The same app, the same month: ₱600 or ₱48. That ₱552 gap is the whole reason this page exists. And over the lender's own ₱3,000 example, the two channels land ₱1,673 apart on identical money.
One reconciliation note, in fairness to the lender. A 144% APR divided by 365 days works out to about 0.395% daily, which rounds to the advertised 0.4%. So the website's two numbers agree with each other, and the store's two numbers agree with each other. It is the channels that disagree, not the arithmetic.
What HoneyLoan does not publish
Three blanks shape the real price of any HoneyLoan loan.
- Your actual rate. Both published prices are ceilings or examples; the lender discloses your personal rate only inside the offer.
- Late-payment terms. No penalty schedule appears on any official page we checked.
- Fee details. Both channels claim "no hidden fees" or zero fees, yet the website's own example folds ₱2,160 into a line called "Total Interest + Fees" without a breakdown.
How to pay less than the ceiling
You cannot choose which HoneyLoan price applies; the disclosure screen inside the app decides. But you can react to it. Screenshot the offer before accepting. Read the total repayment, not the daily rate; a small-sounding number per day is a large number per year, as the 146% line shows.
Then compare the disclosure against registered alternatives with open ceilings: VPlus states a maximum of 18% a year, Moca Moca caps interest at 20% with a disclosed 5-10% service fee, and MoneyCat runs a genuinely free first loan. If your screen resembles the website version, those comparisons are worth ten minutes. Run any quote through our loan calculator before you sign; the method lives on the methodology page.
Frequently asked questions
What is HoneyLoan's interest rate per month?
There is no single monthly rate. The website's 0.4% daily works out to about 12% a month on its own example and about 146% a year on simple math (our estimate). The App Store's 0.096% daily is about 2.9% a month, about 35% a year. Your actual rate appears in the in-app disclosure.
Why do the website and the App Store show different rates?
We do not know; the lender has not explained it. Both versions are official and were live on the same check date. The honest reading is that two channels advertise two products of the same lender, and only your disclosure shows which one you were sold.
How much does a ₱3,000 HoneyLoan loan cost?
Under the website's own example: ₱5,160 over 180 days. Under the App Store's example: ₱3,487 over six months. The difference is ₱1,673 on identical money, which is why the disclosure screen decides everything.
What is HoneyLoan's maximum APR?
Two ceilings, one per channel: 144% on the website, 35% to 36% in the App Store listing. Both are the lender's own disclosures.
Is 0.4% per day expensive?
Yes, at the yearly level. It compounds to roughly 146% a year on simple math (our estimate), among the highest published rates in our tables. Daily framing makes it look small; the yearly math is what you sign for.
The bottom line for borrowers
HoneyLoan publishes two prices and lets the disclosure screen pick one. Treat 0.4% per day as the expensive case, 0.096% as the advertised-best case, and your in-app offer as the only number that counts. The status of the lender behind these numbers is in our is HoneyLoan SEC registered check.
